This calibrated modal hammer kit may be used for impulse testing of the dynamic behaviour of mechanical structures. The user strikes the object with the hammer and measures the resulting response with the accelerometer that is included in the kit. The hammer imparts a constant force over a broad frequency range, which depends on the type of tip being used.
