Ribbed belt

Belts provide a very efficient and cost-effective method for transmitting power from prime movers to driven machines. Ribbed belts have a number of lengthwise V-shaped ribs on the inside of the belt. The ribs provide a larger contact area than classical V-belts of similar length and widths, therefore enabling ribbed belts to transmit more power. The pre-tensioned cords provide low stretch during operation.
